Pleasant Hope opened up the game by scoring 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning. Callie Sare walked, Catlin Evans doubled and they both scored on a single by Hailey Richardson who then took second base on the throw home. Richardson then scored on a single by Lizzy Mosley. Monett scored 1 run in the bottom of the 3rd inning on a 2-base error by the pirates’ outfield, a stolen base, and a passed ball. Monett then tied the game in the bottom of the 4th inning with a lead-off double by A. Soriano and a home run by cleanup hitter Kelsay Wiseman. Pleasant Hope took the lead for good in the top of the 6th inning. Haley Hillenburg lead off with a walk and pinch hitter Kylie Haraldson put down a sacrifice bunt that the Monett catcher fielded but made a bad throw to 1st base sending it into right field. Haley Hillenburg came all the way around from 1st to score. Pleasant Hope added three insurance runs in the top of the 7th inning. Callie Sare and Catlin Evans both walked and Hailey Richardson singled to load the bases. Sare scored when Haley Hillenburg hit the ball to short but the throw home wasn't handled. Catlin Evans and Hailey Richardson both scored on a single to right-center field by Lynsi Van Tassell.
